PA Committees & Class Parents
Committees are one of the best ways to be involved at TCCS! Make your voice heard and have a direct impact on PA-sponsored programming and other initiatives by volunteering with a PA committee. If you have a great idea or see an issue that should be explored, join or form a committee! Great things happen and the whole school community benefits when parents give their time, energy, and talents. Contact the PA Board through the form below to get in on the action!
Event and fundraising committees undertake the planning, publicizing and volunteer recruiting for projects in coordination with school staff and the PA Board. Commitment varies by project, and we welcome all levels of involvement.

Giving Thanks Social and Food Drive: Every November, we collect nonperishable food items for local shelters or a citywide nonprofit AND families and school staff enjoy a potluck smorgasboard of autumn-themed treats one morning before the holiday break.
WinterFest: Celebrate the holiday season with student performances, activities and snacks. December TBD.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week: Is the first week of May each year. Volunteers and class parents coordinate the week. Traditionally, parent volunteers decorate and serve snacks in the Teachers’ Lounge.
Parent Social and Auction (also fundraising): Our annual spring event where parents and staff can mingle, taste wine, and win some amazing gifts and experiences in the silent auction.
Spring Fling: This year’s street fair is scheduled for June 25, 2016! Volunteers needed!
School Pictures: We earn on the sales of school pictures as long as the PA runs the operation. A photographer must be booked in the spring for the following fall.
Merchandise: We are in the process of restarting our merchandise operation. The demand for school t-shirts is high! Contact the PA board to help out!
Square 1 Art: The students create a unique masterpiece that can enhance many items for the home and for gifts. Shop past art projects all year round!
Schoola: Clean out your closet and raise money at the same time! You can also shop the Schoola site.

After School – a joint SLT-PA committee
Each September, up to three parents of students in each class volunteer to be “class parents.” This involves helping teachers plan class celebrations and field trips, facilitate communication to parents, and organizing class gifts to teachers. Look for sign-up sheets and announcements at the start of the year!
